Beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Outhwaite. Loving mother of Joan Clow and her husband Allen of St. Catharines, William and his wife Catherine, Gayle Outhwaite and her husband Ian Whitfield, Virginia Sorensen and her husband Jim and Thomas and his partner Jenny Wood, all of Kingston. Proud grandmother of Heather (John), Erika, Adam, Michael, Matthew, Joshua, Zane (Lori-Jo), Aja, Chris (Natalie), Amy (Nathan), Ethan, Mitchell, Maxwell and Leiya and great grandmother to Olivia and Jude. Dear sister of Keith Mitchell of Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by her brother Kelly Mitchell. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Thursday evening from 7 - 9 pm. Members of The Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 146 are requested to assemble at the funeral home on Thursday at 6:30 pm for a service of remembrance. All sister lodges are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral Friday, June 25, 2010 for service in the chapel of the funeral home at 2 pm, The Reverend Mike Hogeboom officiating. Cremation followed by a private family interment at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Janine and I regret that we are unable to travel to the funeral. I have fond memories of Frances, her husband Bill and all her children but especially Tom and Ginny. Frances was very kind to me as a boy and teenager and always had nice things to say when we did talk which was infrequent mostly due to the miles between.
