Peacefully at her home, surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, July 4, 2010, after a brief illness. The former Helena Ilsa Lambing, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Ralph LaPointe and loving mother of Alan Perrin and his wife Maureen, Nancy Perrin and her husband Fred Barriage, Perry Perrin (Teresa Ainley) and Jeff Perrin (Marianne Dawson), all of Kingston and Peggy Chamberlain and Darlene Davey and her husband Brian, all of Gananoque. Proud grandmother of many grandchildren as well as several great grandchildren. Dear sister of Lieta Quesnel and Doris Brown, both of Kingston. Predeceased by her parents Halie Lambing and Edna Carbina, brother Hollis Lambing and her two sons Hank Perrin and Jason Perrin. Helena's family would like to offer a heartfelt Thank You to Shannon McCarthur, who came into our family and took care of our mother with such compassion and tenderness. We will never forget your kindness and gentle, caring nature. In keeping with Helena's wishes, services will be private. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (Cancer Center of SE Ontario at KGH) would be appreciated by the family.
