The Ompah Trilogy
The narrator, jaded and disillusioned with life in the Metropolis, moves
with his academic wife and teenage daughter to the forest and lake country
on the Canadian Shield. Here they find colorful neighbours and adventures
of quite a different sort. This back-to-the-land saga is told in three
short stories: The Bush Road, There Lived A Noble Man, and North of Seven.

| “Once again, author Robert J, McCaldon captivates and entertains the reader with wit, humour and the dramatic arrival of the unexpected. Things are rarely what they seem, yet even the bizarre is realistic and believable. This writer is a master of the short story genre.” | |
